Pre-Algebra 8 Chapter 1~2

In Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, I learned these things,
             Ch.1:
Bar Graph, histogram, numerical expression, powers, equation, solution, formula for perimeter and area (for rectangle and square), a problem solving plan, (etc.)
Order of operation (both 1.2 and 1.4):
1.     Evaluate expression inside grouping symbols.
2.     Evaluate powers (in 1.4).
3.     Multiply and divide from left to right.
4.     Add and subtract from left to right.
Ch.2:
Integers, absolute value, opposites, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers, commutative, and associative property for both additition and multiplication, distributive property for multiplication, and the coordinate plane.

Real life example:  In this picture, the path (in yellow) divided the center of the park into five parts, the four side parts are  equal, require all of the total length of yellow lines; the blue rectangle is the swimming pool, one person is swimming in there, please give the coordinates of that person.

Total length:    8 × 4 + 6 × 4
                     = ( 8 + 6) × 4
                     = 14 × 4
                     = 56 units

Coordinates:  (-6, 3)
